Unzip the download — you'll get a folder named follower-tracker-extension with manifest.json inside it.
Open chrome://extensions and flip on Developer mode, top right.
Click Load unpacked and select the folder from step 1.
Follower Tracker shows up active in your extensions list — pin it to the toolbar for one-click access.
This is the same tool previously listed as "IG Tracker" — renamed after a trademark dispute. Chrome may show it under a "Developer mode extensions" banner; that's expected for anything installed outside the Web Store, not a sign anything's wrong.

It was removed after a trademark dispute over the name. It's the same tool — now called Follower Tracker — available as a direct download below. Loading it manually via "Load unpacked" takes under a minute; just re-download and reload the folder if a new version comes out.
